'American Idol' ready to raise awareness of its top 12 finalists, host Ryan Seacrest, warned viewers that "We could be a surprise or two." He should have said three or four.
Scott Lilly, Alex Lambert, Katelyn Epperly and Hall Todrick contestants were eliminated Thursday night (March 11) in a series of communications of tears that left almost all "American Idol" hopefuls judges visibly stunned and disappointed. Some, like Scott Lilly, was considered among the strongest competitors of the season, while others were just beginning to hit their stride length.
The first participant was eliminated Katelyn Epperly, who had impressed the judges in the weeks before a loud voice, but struggled on Tuesday night with a performance of "Carole King's I Feel the Earth Move," which was a little careless. "It was definitely a great experience and I learned a lot," Epperly said, "and I can not stop now."
The first man to hear the bad news is Todrick Hall, a former student of musical theater, which had been criticized for over-interpret his songs in recent weeks. Hall had apparently pushed back over on Wednesday, but to give a simple version of Somebody "Queen's to Love" which the judges held. "I am very grateful," says Hall. "It's been a fantastic experience. I came here to prove that I'm not just a dancer, I can also sing. And I think we've done."
After a lively piano duo finalists for season 8 Scott MacIntyre and Matt Giraud, right next contestant was Alex Lambert, who had fought nerves throughout the season but has improved daily. "I wish I would have liked to have not been so nervous on stage because there are lots of things that the U.S. had not seen me do yet," said a tearful Lambert. "I wish I could just break out of my shell."
"You're so good," Lambert said Ellen DeGeneres. "You only need to have more experience - you need to believe in yourself, and that only comes from time and crashing, and back again."
Seacrest saved the biggest surprise elimination from the end, but when Scott Lilly was sent home over 17 years, Katie Stevens, Chief Judge Kara DioGuardi shake your head at the news. "I thought it was attractive to many people," says Scott. "It's amazing, incredibly talented go home tonight. I do not know what the Americans want to hear, do not know. I just know that there is an audience out there for me."
American Idol The 12 is moved to the Kodak Theater (the night of Tuesday, March 16), live show, which will include music by the Rolling Stones.

The sound of jaws fall across the country after Thursday evening shocking "vote American Idol-off was reflected in comments from readers of MTV News in the wake of eliminations Katelyn Epperly, Scott Lilly, Alex Lambert and Todrick Hall. AI last night said goodbye to the last four participants in the semifinals: Scott Lilly, Todrick Hall, Katelyn Epperly and Alex Lambert (who did not take the news very well. Ellen can get a contract, too.) Were you surprised at how they voted? Are you confused which was sent to my address? Here is a list of other impressive collection omissions from the last 8 seasons on MTV. In the unlikely event that you only connect Season 9, here is a manual in the top 12 competitors, and some ...
Courtesy of Fox Do you think that the correct four participants were given the boot last night? American Idol, usually I love you. I spend my three days a week, so in reality. So how I could play this way, kicked two of my favorite contestants, and Alex Scott Lilly Lambert? Despite his eccentric style and platinum hair tones, Scott Lilly was always a crowd favorite peculiar and easily one of the three best female players on Idol this season. My friends are angry and dissatisfied
Although we have only reached the high season of 12, nine "American Idol" is already shaping up to be a good doozy, especially after the show Thursday evening confusing results, such as Scott Lilly, Katelyn Epperly and Alex Lambert kicked to the street corner to favor of far less talented (and we believe will, Faaa). And although early departure was quite shocking, "American Idol" fans to use their jaws hit the floor by now, especially when it comes to the whims of the voting ...
Alex Lambert. He looked very sad and tired of the phone. He wishes he could have overcome his stage fright, and she felt she had improved as the competition progressed. He said that "everyone" had a completely different set of bidders considered for elimination, and that is why the children were so emotional. One bright spot: Alex must make on Wednesday, Ellen ... After disposal, was what happens off camera? "It was an emotional moment. I. ..
American Idol announced the twelve finalists in the evening, with a final round of the four deletions that Time magazine called "dubious" and "insane." The four participants who missed the cut were Todrick Hall, Katelyn Epperly, Scott and Alex Lilly Lambert. Katelyn Todrick and output a little, but it was expected that the elimination of Lilly and Alex Idol surprised fans and critics. Many believed that both Lilly and Alex were strong candidates for the title because they have ...

Ryan Seacrest said that there will be some surprises in last night episode of 'American Idol' and that certainly proved true. One wonders if the vote of the worst came in the game, but even in the worst of the participants are still very, very well done so far. Let's see after the jump and see who was eliminated in four. After a group of figures with the 16 best songs of Michael Bublé "I have not known, but" (which was not bad), we are entitled to it. Make a list of who he is.
The four roommates eliminated from this season of American Idol began to convene a press conference this afternoon to answer questions that were on everyone's mind since last night annihilation. Alex Lambert, 19, who was visible during the presentation last night opened on what was happening in his mind when he said that he had been removed. "It was exciting," Alex confessed, "primarily because many people do not expect that people who went home to go ...
Teen Power won "American Idol" as Katie Stevens claimed a place in the top 12, while a more experienced singer with an ax. Stevens, 17, won support from our audience that despite the program's judges were disappointed earlier this week for his performance in "Breakaway" as Randy Jackson compared with karaoke. Scott Lilly, despite winning praise for his art in "I Fall to Pieces" was one of four players fell on Thursday. Including Alex Lambert North Richland Hills, Texas, ...
So there you have it, the United States. Your Top 12 ... If you wish to claim their own products. Because, really really, this team is not as impressive. After losing Katelyn Epperly, Todrick Hall, Alex Lambert and Scott Lilly (the only real surprise removal) last night, we are now in the hands of a collection of mediocre singers Benami Didi, Crystal Bowersox, Lacey Brown, Lee Dewyze, Andres Garcia , Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynch, Siobhan Magnus, Paige Miles, Katie Stevens and Tim Urban, who ...
Katelyn Epperly, Alex Lambert, Lilly and Scott Hall Todrick As far as I am concerned there were two tragedies here. Scott Lilly was one of the best in the group. He rocked out week after week, without a sour note in the bunch. She had her own style, loyal to the judges loved her and always, Katelyn Epperly as if I had some difficult moments, but she has the voice of a Kickin 'with a single tone, and really showed an incredible job. She was consistent throughout and have it ..
Finally we get a place on American Idol. Slowly, we remove Meh factors in the competition this season. Now, it is not true. Because if most of the factors that had gone Meh, all that would be Simon Cowell say Crystal Bowersox change the oil in their tissues and hum melodies Michael Lynch, while you choose your outfit for the rest of the series. Moving along throughout the week, we heard the glass is still impressive and Michael Lynch (who was swinging a Pashmina!) Is ...

Not surprised to see Katelyn home and just never really in the public or become judges. Her version of Carole King's I Feel the Earth Move "was the final nail in the coffin.
I've never been a big fan of Scott Lilly, so it was not too sad to see him go. But the judges always seem to fawn over her, so it was a bit of a surprise. But, my 12 year old daughter and I went to promote Katie Stevens, then we are happy to see you in the competition.
But wow, Lilly just seemed totally surprised that did not receive enough votes to stay in the competition. This is what happens when you get too comfortable and think you're a shoe-in. "I thought he did very well," he said. "I thought it was attractive to many people. I put my heart into every performance and gave me all every time. I do not know what the Americans want to hear, I really do not. I just know that there is an audience out there for me. "
Urban and Tim Hall Todrick ... Oy! When it became clear that Tim Todrick went and met, I ran to my Facebook page, and wrote something like "What? Tim Todrick and go home?" I could not believe it because 1) Todrick has a great voice and a strong personality, and 2), Tim has always been a "replacement" in more ways than one, and only seemed to be in the same league as the other participants . But, whatever! He could do very well and I am sure that he is very motivated at this point, after receiving several additional chance to prove himself.
I felt really bad for Alex Lambert receipt of boot, because he just seemed to want to run away from the scene. He looked so disappointed and sad not to be part of "The In Crowd". But support for him to boldly sing his last song, which ironically, was 'Trouble'.
I suppose I should mention the previous idols Scott Giraud MacIntyre and Matt singing "Tell her about it." Write a good 'Baker Boys' wave that has to go with the two pianos, but I kind of forgot about it as soon as completed.
