LG Officially Announces New Chocolate Phone LG BL40

Having made his first official appearance at a site engineered LG last Wednesday, the LG Chocolate BL20 finally have a press release and product page to go along with the specifications. Smaller - and less complex - the brother of BL40, BL20 is the arrival in the UK on O2 in the 4th quarter of 2009 with a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash.

This camera has an "open memo capture" mode, according to LG, BL20 possible to take better pictures of text, handwritten notes and diagrams. This can be useful to send to the organization and transcription services like Evernote.

The specs are a little basic for a new high end phone from LG, with no 3G and a 900mAh battery on board.

That means that standby time is 450 hours and talktime five hours according to LG, although that will probably drop off in real use.

The screen pales in comparison to the WVGA of the BL40 too, only coming in at a QVGA 240 x 320 resolution.

Pricing for the LG BL40 Chocolate has not yet been announced.
